So it looks like, between the Tumblr and DW post, that extending the sign-ups would be something y'all want. So the sign-ups are now officially extended to **May 28th**! I'll still be posting the first check-in form tomorrow, and instead of staying open for one week it will stay open for two this round.

So I have been up for the last 34 hours working on advertisements on Tumblr and I have got to get some sleep. But I have about 11 fandoms that have writers/artists signed up already that I want to advertise to so we have potential partners already following when art claims/fic claims go up. So how would you all feel if I extended sign-ups to the 28th? The first check-in will still go live on the 22nd, but since they're voluntary you don't have to do it if you just signed up (we don't ask for proof of progress, BTW; it's just a checkbox to let us know you're still participating). Sound off in the comments!

How I Finished My Shit: I see the posts for the mini-bang every year. This year, I finally decided to participate. I sat down, reread that first chapter I had posted, tried to get back into its mood of Goncharovesque purple prose, and did my best. Between February 15th and February 22d, there is a specific form we would like you to fill out to post your fanworks. It allows you bragging rights for finishing your fic/art, and also links to the location of your fic (it should be up somewhere like AO3/FF.net/your personal Tumblr under a tag/any other fic or journal community) in its completion. We also have an AO3 collection for this round where you can post the AO3 postings of your fic and art to when you are finished posting new chapters.
