It's Monday, which means time to open up another post to all the whining, moaning, groaning, and crying you need. Also some celebrations, if you want!

Update for me is that I'm still done with 2 out of 3 fics, but that the 3rd is causing problems. I had to rewrite a big chunk of it recently. But hopefully that will make it better!

My last project is fighting me. I need to do some serious rearranging and rewriting in order for it to flow right. I messed up the pace a little and now I'm feeling overwhelmed in how to fix it. But I'll get there! Thank goodness we have time. <333

I know some of us are anxious and/or excited about art claims right now, but they seem to be coming along. Best thing to do is post about them on your own social media and ask folks to reblog/retweet/repost so the word gets around. The first round of claiming ends Thursday, so get going!

How're your WIPs coming along? Mine are getting done, slowly but surely. There are word wars here on DW and sprints in the Discord server, if you need that kind of extra push to get writing. And here I am, cheering you on in a more casual way, and hoping for everyone to write write write!

How's the writing coming along? My WIPs are doing well, I'm totally psyched about it. Well, one of them is going kind of slowly right now, but the other two are great. So I can whine about one.

I have a confession. I haven't written on any of my WIPs since May 14th. I put them on hold to write some original stuff. YAY. Or is it WOE? I mean, YAY WORDS, but woe for my fic WIPs. I'll come back to them, though! I really kinda have to... snippets are due June 1st! I want to get some significant writing done before then.

I hate when I carve out time for writing but then nothing comes out, or very little. That is what I'm staring at right now, the two paragraphs I've written in the past two hours.

Does anyone else ever get close to finishing their fic, like so close, only to be ambushed by another idea that wants to be written RIGHT NOW?Because I am remembering so many instances of this happening to me whenever I got close to my deadline and the fic was almost done, and I really couldn't take the time the shiny new idea was demanding.

Anyway, I hope nobody's brain is sabotaging them so close to the deadline. There's a check-in going on here - not mandatory, just let us know how you're doing.

I just double-checked the schedule and there's only about a month before final drafts are due and posting begins. I'm freaking out and I had to drop out a while ago!
