Well, I had hoped I was going to finish the first draft this weekend. With only 5 scenes left in my outline, it seemed doable. But, the more I looked at it, the more I realized it needed a few more scenes. Guess I will be happy that I knocked out the draft for two scenes even if I did add a few more.

Just passed 11K, so at least I'm in the ballpark.

I have been tired and unmotivated and thus completely slacking. However, I managed to make a few minor edits to older scenes, working in references to plot points that I needed to set up my ending. I think I can wrap this up in about three more chapters (maybe?), but... I've finally surrendered to a cliché trope that I've been fighting the entire time. When the realization hit me, it was so clear how much foreshadowing I've already woven into the story. To the point, where I've occasionally re-worded things because, "Oops, readers might get it into their heads that I'm going to do Trope X which I am most certainly not going to do," but of course now I am. It was inevitable.

Rewatched my canon today, have made notes of a billion things that need changing. :/

I have to write another chapter to actually finish this thing. I'm a bit scrambling to find scenes to write because I hate that my chapters don't have the same range of word count. And since all my chapters are 11k... well, I need to 6k to get it.

Last week hasn't been productive at all, so I'm only coming back to writing today. I have hope I'll be able to finish around the 15th-17th this month and put it to rest for a few days. I will also try to do the art this weekend. This is starting to get pressing.
